The problem with many distal radius fractures is the distal segment is so small that it is difficult to place sufficient screws. A "T" plate can help but often the head of the plate is too wide. Hybrid "T" plates can provide a solution.
Screw holes in the head are smaller and closer together than those in the shaft
Plate will accept same size screw in the head as in the shaft, but withreduced screw angulations
