This MRI compatible cart is specifically designed for use in magnetic resonance imaging suites. Constructed from non-magnetic or “weakly magnetic” materials such as aluminum, the MR6B meets the requirements laid out by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International Designation of MR-Conditional for use in a 3 Tesla or less environment. Testing by the ASTM on this model was carried out in 2010 and resulted in all Harloff MRI carts receiving a F2503-05 definition of “MR-Conditional”, so MRI technicians won’t have to worry about the cart negatively affecting their machines or the results of their scans. Other unique features seen with this six drawer MRI compatible cart include a breakaway locking system, protective corner bumpers, a removeable plastic top, full-extension drawer slides and low-ferrous 5″ sealed ball-bearing casters.
